Football Association Match Officials Association (FAMOA)
All qualified referees, registered with their local County Football Association, obtain automatic membership of FAMOA, the Football Association Match Officials Association. Members are entitled to wear the official FAMOA badge when refereeing.
Regional Development Officers have been appointed by the Football Association to develop a national system of support and assistance for all referees.
Jeff Russell is the Referee Development Officer (jeff.russell@durhamfa.com) for the Durham County FA and along with Company Secretary John Topping he is charged with the responsibility of helping to oversee many of the aspects of refereeing in the County area.
